Better grades, increased confidence, improved organization and executive functioning. I strive to help students with all these things and any other goals they and their parents may have. At the end of the day, I want make math more pain free for students and their parents. I want students to come to the realization that they are more than capable of being successful in math coursework and professions that require such training.

Parents and students seek out tutoring for a variety of reasons. Maybe you or your child has received A’s in most of his or her math classes but are now struggling to achieve a C in Algebra 1. Or sometimes parents report that they can help with math but it causes friction in their relationship with their child. Maybe kids are uncomfortable asking their teacher for help because the teacher is impatient or can’t offer alternative explanations. My job is to help however I can–whether it be test taking techniques that reduce mistakes or comprehensive explanations of challenging topics.

I am flexible to meet at a cafe or home throughout Seattle and the adjacent suburbs. I often email students review materials and provide supplemental explanations after sessions if they find that helpful. And if they need a few last minute explanations, I can provide that over email or video chat. Using a document camera, students can follow along as I write explanations on a notebook. I also have document cameras that I can loan to students if they prefer to have that option available.

We all get distracted from time to time, whether it be during homework sessions or posing for a photo.
